Electric violinist Susie Hansen and her band perform high energy danceable Latin music that aims for the feet -- salsa, cumbia, merengue, Latin jazz, bachata, bolero and cha cha cha. As Phil Elwood, San Francisco Examiner, says, “It’s a sizzling, swinging Salsa band.  Hansen can solo as if her bow was afire.  The whole room was jumpin’ for joy.”  Hansen has performed with Tito Puente, Los Van Van, Orquesta Aragon, Vikki Carr, La Sonora Ponceña, El Gran Combo and Orquesta Broadway.   Brian McGackin wrote in the Glendale News Press, “I am usually hesitant to rave so dramatically about the quality of a band, but I just cannot seem to help myself. Raucously fun and upbeat, it's hard not to get up and dance."  Susie’s CD “Solo Flight” was named as one of Latin Beat Magazine’s top 100 Independent Latin Jazz recordings.  Don Heckman of the LA Times says her music is “as physically moving as it is intellectually stimulating.”  Her CD “The Salsa Never Ends” was dubbed a “Salsa anthem for the 2000s” by European press, and the title song “La Salsa Nunca Se Acaba” has been popular with dancers across the country and around the world.
